MATIERE GRISE A Film by Daddy Ruhorahoza

A young African filmmaker wants to make his first feature film The Cycle of the Cockroach. The film is about madness. Unfortunately, a few days before production begins, he is told that the grant he was expecting has been rejected. He doesn’t tell his team and the preparation continues. One night after working on the soundtrack and rehearsing a scene, he falls asleep. Does he merely dream of his movie or does he actually make it?

Shooting October 2009 in Rwanda.
